Under Story Film Skool has evolved over the years and will continue to do so for the upcoming 2010 sessions.

The 2008 sessions began as a collaborative community video production learning effort. After several weeks of producing a short film once a week, the crew developed skills at light speed. Today many of the crew from the 2008 sessions have established themselves in the video production industry as award winning producers. Check out the Honor Roll to see what some of the passed students have gone on to.

The 2009 sessions focused less on creating videos every week and instead focused on understanding the basic fundamentals of video production and went into advanced concepts as the weeks progressed. The final project was to create a complete video short using many of the techniques learned throughout the year.

The 2010 Sessions will again follow a new format and be presented as a series of weekend seminars. Topics of these seminars will include advanced camera techniques and moves, the art of story boarding. the art of lighting, documentary production, music video production and more.

We will also be creating an Online course in the near future. What we have online right now is the Guerrilla Video Primer. This is an excellent tutorial produced in 2003 and has a ton of information on how to shoot video in a variety of situation. This is a great tutorial for the activist videographer.
